The staff and management of Bournemouth & West Hampshire Water continuously support the work of WaterAid, which was formed in 1981 by people working within the British Water Industry.
WaterAid is the UK’s only major charity dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world’s poorest people.
These most basic requirements are essential to life; without them vulnerable communities are trapped in the stranglehold of disease and poverty.
Clean water is something we are delighted that our customers are able to take for granted, but nearly a billion people in the world do not have access to it, and over two billion people lack basic sanitation. As a result, a child dies every 15 seconds from water-related diseases.
Every year we enclose a WaterAid leaflet with our water accounts in the hope that our customers will wish to help this vital work. We are very grateful to those who have made donations.
For just £15 WaterAid can provide one person with these life changing/life saving essentials. So far over 13 million people have benefitted.

- Set up a Direct Debit or make a payment by Credit or Debit Card by calling 0845 330 8400 (lines open 8am to 6pm – please have your bank details handy) (covenanted payments allow WaterAid to claim tax back from the Government)
