Welcome to Bournemouth & West Hampshire Water’s website
We provide clean drinking water to around half a million people in an area from Poole to Beaulieu and from Bournemouth to Salisbury, an area of over 1000 square kilometres. We do not provide waste water services. These are provided by Wessex Water or Southern Water according to where you live.
We are one of the leading performers in the UK Water Industry. We have an excellent record for water quality, customer service, efficiency, low leakage rates and below average bills.
We supply on average about 150 million litres of drinking water every day, through nearly 3000 kilometres of water mains. Demand increases significantly during warm dry summer weather as a result of garden watering and the influx of visitors to the area.
We are a local monopoly and what this means to us is that we simply must keep trying harder and improve in everything we do.
